SEDA BURSARIES
The Saskatchewan Economic Development Association (SEDA) is a
member-driven organization that ensures the availability
of professional development, training, and networking opportunities
for all those involved in economic development. To support
the training and educational pursuits of our members, SEDA has
established a Bursary Program with the following criteria:
Eligibility
Any
actively participating member in good standing is eligible for an educational bursary.
Selection Criteria
- Bursaries will be awarded to individuals seeking training and education in the field of economic development.
- Bursaries
will be awarded up to $1,000 per applicant per annum. This may be
in the form of one large bursary to pursue out-of-province
training or in several smaller bursaries available throughout
the year.
- Applications
are reviewed by the Awards Committee and evaluated based
on the education and training program merits and demonstration
of need by the applicant.
- Successful
applicants will be required to submit a one-to-two page
topical paper within six months of course completion for
publication in Skylines, the newsletter for the Saskatchewan
Economic Development Association
Application Process
A call for applications will be sent out prior to each bursary
award deadline. Candidates must complete the SEDA Bursary
Program Application form by the advertised application deadline.
Other
Notes
Applications
will be reviewed by the Awards Committee volunteers plus
a SEDA Past President, and SEDA's Executive Director. Bursary
awards will be announced within 30 days of the closing date
