Today, community leaders and development practitioners must have greater understanding of their region and its linkages to the surrounding areas as well as the Global Economy. They must be able to convert this knowledge into a comprehensive regional vision and strategic plan that can lead to long-term regional prosperity and competitiveness. However, in many regions across Canada, development professionals have not fully maximized the oppotunities afforded by regional solutions.
The objective of this web portal is to support the sustainable growth of communities and regions in Saskatchewan. As the portal becomes fully populated, many of the resources will be pertinent and of value to other regions in Canada. This initiative is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association (SEDA) and is being designed to provide a focal point to provide resources and bridging to practitioners as well as industry and community leaders.
