Sheena Simonson is a Procurement Specialist with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) of Public Services and Procurement Canada. She joined the Government of Canada in 2007 as a Citizen Services Officer working in the Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security call centre, and from there moved on to work with the Strategic Services Branch coordinating Ministerial, Member of Parliament, Office for Client Satisfaction, and Access to Information and Privacy Enquiries. Following that, she worked on the information management file with the Integrity Services Branch. From there, she went to Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) to work as a Procurement Officer where she has enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with other government departments and the supplier community to procure goods and services for the Government of Canada. Sheena is also an executive member of the Saskatchewan Youth Network and a member of Vanguard (PSPC’s youth network).

Before joining the federal government, Sheena obtained a Bachelor of Education degree and worked in Finland as a school teacher. She also spent some time working in office administration in the private sector on a working holiday permit in New Zealand and also at Credit Union Electronic Transaction Services in Regina, Sk. Sheena also understands the basics of owning and operating a business through establishing and operating a small business.
